The fantastic tale of a 17th century aristocrat, his talented henchmen and a little girl in their efforts to save a town from defeat by the Turks. Told by master storyteller Terry Gilliam this is a film bursting with ideas and visual delights as the special effects technology of 1989 is pushed to the limits, bringing us a horse divided in half and running around in two parts, and a giant Robin Williams with his head flying off his shoulders. A treat for all Gilliam fans.
